I went out wardriving around irvine today for the first time in several months. I drove around for an hour, getting very few hits. I got to park plaza and wondered if today was National Turn Off Your WAP Day, there were so few. But I knew there were at least 8 in park plaza, so there must have been something else wrong.

As it turns out, the center pin on the mini-uhf connector for the 8db omni antenna had been bent!

Come to think of it, that must have been why my wardrive in portland was so disappointing too!

Lesson learned :)
