  • Torrents Page Error

    Hello!
I have a big problem, but, actually, it's not my fault.
    On that official page: https://www.defcon.org/html/links/dc-torrent.html
there is a problem with "All Conference CDs and DVDs with Presentation PDF files (updated 2015)"-torrent file.
I want to download that material, but meet a "Not Found"-error.
Could you please share with this torrent?
Because I don't know how to make .emulecollection work on aMule.
    Thank you very much!

Hello and thanks for the report.

Looking at the page your provided a link to, I see:

"All Conference CDs and DVDs with Presentation PDF files (updated 2015):" and then following it, a link which I copy and paste here:
    https://www.defcon.org/html/torrent/...%20DVD.torrent

That link works for me and downloads a torrent file.

Please try it again. Maybe they fixed this issue between the last time you loaded and now. If it still does not work, please try to reload the page ( https://www.defcon.org/html/links/dc-torrent.html ) and force it to load fresh and not cache anything. If that does not work, you can try the link I pasted in this post ( https://www.defcon.org/html/torrent/...%20DVD.torrent ) and see if that works.

Please let us know what works and what does not so we can try to better diagnose the problem. Also, what web browser and version were you using on what OS and version?

I have a guess that the web page you visit has HTML link achors with URL that contain literal white-spaces instead of encoding for whitespace with %20, and my web browser is fixing this in the URL before fetching it with %20 instead of spaces, allowing me to download it, while your web browser is not making up for this mistake. If this is true, then you refreshing the page with the link to the torrent won't help, but clicking on the link to torrent that I provided in this post will, since I include the %20 instead of spaces. Your feedback will help us diagnose what the problem is.

    Thanks!
