Defcon Shoot Rideshare Details

In past years the location of the defcon shoot was harder to get to, so there was often a rideshare meetup location for people to get a ride to and from the shoot.
This year lyft estimates a fare around $30 one-way, so hopefully more people can make it out. But since no one has proposed a rideshare location I figured I would.

The only way this will work is if drivers volunteer, so please help out if you can.
I had to find a parking lot that was close to the hotels and that was free to enter without gates.

So here are the details:
Location: Weststar Credit Union
110 E Harmon Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89109
It is on the north east corner of East Harmon ave and Audrie street, there is an entrance on each street

Timing:
Meetup: 9:30 - 10:00AM
Leaving: 10:00 AM
Arrive at the shoot: 10:30 AM

It takes around 25-30 minutes to get to the shoot. Registration is from 10:30-11:30 so this should give enough time if you need to stop for gas or buy water or sunscreen. Or if someone wants to wait an extra 15 minutes to catch any stragglers.



This location is almost a mile from the flamingo (20 min walk), half a mile from paris (10 minute walk), so plan ahead.
To stay out of the way lets park in the back of the parking lot on the east side


If you're driving, when you leave the shoot people usually honk their horn once to let anyone else know that wants to leave they have a seat open.

I'm not going to be freed up until maybe 4ish. I can get an Uber and head out about 430 and would love to rideshare if anyone else is heading out later in the day to try to catch a few hours of shooting before it shuts down..

I'd like to try defcon shoot but am wondering about the time schedule. After registration in the morning (was too late for prereg), will I have to wait for session 4 to shoot? Thanks in advance, looking forward to the con ;-)

Photubias, show up when you can with cash during the hours of the shoot and you can/will get the opportunity to try many things.

@all, If you drive out or lyft or Uber please post here so others can share the cost. If not here go ask /offer to other Defcon goers in the con space. Often times people don't know of the shoot or only find out after it's to late.

Rhavloth, our group will have a couple seats for the return trip. Although as staff we might be leaving a bit later than everyone else.

My current blackhat session is supposed to end about 230. I'll be at the poolside or whatever they call the lower level uber pickup at mandalay bay as soon after as possible. Anyone that wants to rideshare is welcome. hit me up here and i'll check it before i leave. hopefully i can rideshare with someone back or the same group can rideshare back another uber. I have an event scheduled for 7 (by the bosses :( ) so staying late wouldn't be great for me.
