  • DC912 Interest

So it's a little sad that we have basically nothing here in the coastal empire for infosec/cybersecurity. I'm trying to see if there is any interest in getting a DC912 group together.

I've got lots of great ideas and things we could start doing, but before I even go down this path I wanted to see if there is an interest.

You can either post on here or send me a direct message if you are interested.

Look forward to hearing from any of you!

Assuming this is for the US, 912 implies area code 912, and wikipedia says:
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_code_912
" Savannah, Richmond Hill, Hinesville, Vidalia, Metter, Reidsville, Homerville, Waycross, Brunswick, Folkston, Douglas, Statesboro, Ludowici, Jesup and Kingsland"

With mention of "coastal empire" this implies the poster is primarily typing about Savanna Georgia.

It looks like this thread was picked up on twitter to help people from 912 find this thread and comment:

Let's see if there are people in the 912 are sufficiently interested in hacking and computer security to join and teach or learn others of the same...

      6: "Who is Number1?"
      2: "You are number6"
      6: "I am not a number!..."

Ok, I do have some close friends south of Atlanta GA and just outside of Savannah (At Kips Landing Actually if anyone gets that reference).
