    A bunch of updates in the Conventions directories for June!

    NEW In the infocon.org/cons directory
    These are brand new conferences being added to the collection for the first time and are done with the new format and meta data tagging.
    • Le Tour Du Hack 2019
    UPDATED In the infocon.org/cons directory
    These are already existing conferences that have a new addition added, like the current years event. They are re-encoded, renamed, ID3 tagged, and a moov atom added to make web streaming more compatible.

      I'm just starting to catch up after DEF CON 29, so not too many updates this time.

      NEW In the infocon.org/cons directory
      These are brand new conferences being added to the collection for the first time and are done with the new format and meta data tagging.
      • Mayhem 2021
      UPDATED In the infocon.org/cons directory
      These are already existing conferences that have a new addition added, like the current years event. They are re-encoded, renamed, ID3 tagged, and a moov atom added to make web streaming more compatible.
      • 2600 has three printed conference programs added and a directory properly renamed. Thanks to InfoConDB.

        The big updates this week are around our Rainbow Tabe collection now having direct download web seed support, as well as fixing a mistake in our .onion address for web seed downloading over Tor.

        UPDATED In the infocon.org/rainbow tables/ directory
        These are already existing file sets that have had new addition added.
        • All the rainbow table torrents have been re-generated to add web seeds and support for downloading over Tor.
        NEW In the infocon.org/mirrors directory
        These are file sets being added to the collection for the first time.
        • A mirror of cryptome.org updated 2021 July 15 has been added.
        • A mirror of Project Gutenberg.au updated 2021 July 19 has been added.
        UPDATED In the infocon.org/mirrors directory
        These are already existing file sets that have had new addition added.
        • The 2012 Internet Census torrent has been re-generated with support for web seeds as well as support for downloading over Tor.

          NOTE:
          Starting with this batch all new torrents that are being built include additional trackers, one for an IPv4 and one for an IPv6 address. Why do this? Our tracker server threats v4 and v6 addresses differently and won't hand out a v4 address to a v6 connection. This reduces the discoverability of clients. By splitting into different tracker names your bittorrent client will (hopefully) connect to both the v4 and v6 names and get get ALL the available peers.

          This is a long term project, but as content is updated the new trackers will be added.
