Caesar's Entertainment sells Bally's Intellectual Property - Sale of Vegas Property Speculated

    interesting. I would guess Caesars gets some needed $ and the flexibility to keep using the name. It means they are not interested or able to develop the brand further.

    So in my social media feed today, I stumbled over this article posted a couple days ago. It appears that Caesar's Entertainment has sold the Bally's brand and intellectual property to a Rhode Island based company, while retaining a perpetual license to the name for the Las Vegas property. However, there's speculation that the Bally's property itself might get sold.

    No idea what this means for DEF CON, and I'm not asking DT to comment at this point. I just find it an interesting point of news, and could cause interesting logistics problems down the road. But that's all purely speculation on my part.
    This just looks like an attempt to divide actives and this way Caesars could use Bally's brand through the perpetual license
