Watch the main site for cases where there are calls for volunteers. IIRC, the main track recording was conducted by a 3rd party which does not have volunteers, but various villages, contests and events recruited their own volunteers to record content within their own spaces.

Next, there is no service for "sign-up to notify me" until there are announcements made. DEF CON a hugely distributed, where contests, village, events and parties mostly plan their own things without a top-down planning from DEF CON. As a result, each has their own process to recruit people. It would be up to you to find which one you would like to volunteer to participate with, and then followup.

Most contests, events, villages, parties, etc. want to have some control over what they choose to share for any clip-show. As a result, they tend to recruit people to record video from those that are volunteers within their contests, event, villages, party, etc.
