  • Wedding at DefCon

So my fiance, Tyger, and I are *very* seriously considering getting married in Vegas this coming DefCon season.

As it turns out, the people we would likely want at our wedding would likely be at DefCon, too.

Hence, what are your opinions on whether or not we should attempt to incorporate our wedding into DefCon, in some sort of way? We aren't going for anything traditional, nor for anything too over the top. However, it might be fun to get married around some of the craziest and most intelligent folks we can think of.

Also, if we were to go through with it, would someone with a legal ability to marry in Nevada be willing to officiate. Also, whom would it be suggested we talk to in order to have the whole event sanctioned or at least encouraged.

Both of us are staying at the AP, and of course will be attending with full con priveleges. Non-con people will not be attending, so that shouldn't be an issue. I've already done the research about attaining the license (a trivial matter), etc...

So, is anyone willing to make our special day that much more special by helping us have it at the one place we enjoying going each year?

Thanks for your thoughts and advice.

    - Froggy

Getting married at con is trite and overdone. Go to a cute little wedding chapel. You'll be thankful years from now.

ONCE at Defcon? So they tied it twice elsewhere?

If you get married i Vegas, go to the drive-thru chapel or else find a Minister who is an Elvis impersonator. Make it memorable!

That's the problem, Elvis is not one of our things in the least.

Get married at the Church of WiFi. The high priest Blackwave will be there to join your SSIDs.

                          I found you a minister

If you want to go through with it anyways, and need a minister you can always have a friend get ordained online at http://www.ulc.net - It's legit.
