      Actually, as far as I can tell it is commercial software. I went to the web site and couldn't find a download section, only the online store. I could be wrong though, I started feeling dirty after about 2 minutes on their site....so I quickly typed www.slackware.com into my address bar and stopped hyperventilating.

        It might be, I just know that three of the computer stores where I live will give it to you for free, not sure why and i'm not going to find out either.

            Lindows is primarily commercial but does a lot of free giveaways
