Windows XP private folder problem
Well. Ahem. dumbass me kinda fucked up my windoze installation. i reinstalled but much to my dismay found out that my old folder containing most of my useful documents are now inaccessable Via windows. i can log onto linux and access them. but since NTFS partitions are Read-Only on linux. i cant move them. anyone know of a way to unprotect the secure user profile folder so i can actively move it. I really dont wanna burn all the stuff onto a cd and if i did. id still have this black hole sector on the partition that i could not access via windows nor delete via linux.
Maybe this will clarify. a JIC situation.
Exactly the problem.
User Profile associated with profile folder is no longer present do to complete reinstall.
Cannot access this profile because the folder is associated with the inexistant user profile.
trying to access the folder to no avail. Can access via linux. but linux is read only and burning cds still leaves a 6gb chunk out of my hard drive.
OS= Windows XP Pro not service packed.Tags: None
