Free Background checks program or site.

Me wonders if there is a program or site where you can get free background checks.

there is a certain script kiddy who had infected me with a trojan not to long ago, however due to the recent install of Zonealarm he cant connect anymore.

I would love to retern the favor to him and scare him with person details, say his adress and phone number? that should do it :)

How you ask would I get this to him even if i had this information? I have successfully NETSEND him/her a couple of times back when he had control over my pc. I had his stupied message chat screen on my desktop, I had done this for testing to see if he had certain ports open at the time.

So if anyone knows of such a site or program let me know. I have netdective and I must say it is really lame. So any other programs Or a Site wopuld be helpfull.

Congratulations, another that didn't read the ToS - NetDetective is loaded with spyware! Now that I've said that, moving on the rest of this post which I was contemplating not posting on, but feel the need to do so.

1) ZoneAlarm is mostly hype, and is by no means a safe firewall to use for any version of Windows. Use Kerio, its free and you can create custom rules with it - nice little package for home use.

2) There is no site that will ever give you a free background check, they always want either $ or will purport to be free, as netdetective is, giving you links of things you could find with the Almighty Google.

3) If you had a trojan on your computer, it was due to lack of an antivirus scanner, which is critical if you like to play with script kiddie toys in any form.(not condoned) Note: never run or install anything from someone you do not trust with the well being of your computer, unless it's a well known and trusted site.. but that's still questionable due to ARP poisoning and is a whole other topic of discussion I will not spiral this thread off into.

4) As Highwiz said, you need to let it go... you ran and installed a backdoor, you got compromised and toyed with - it's gone (hopefully).. (I would assume you removed it, and just didn't firewall the ports it uses so it cannot contact the outside world as you know it) It is a learning experience, it will teach you to keep an updated antivirus installed at all times, and to be careful what you install.
