Contiki and Plan9 are not only exotic and interesting projects, they are a demonstration of how things that were supposed to have no use are transformed into useful things and how things are actualy invented.

I also would ask for more links, goons of this land, is that all you have to say? :)

Agreed. Things like Contiki, which is seriously fucking cool.

Most of us has done programming.
Some of us write useful software.

But there are people who wrote assembler in bash, and HTTP server in PS.
