If anyone else is interested (and hasn't left yet) we should meet up and see what we can plan. In lieu of any other suggestions let's meet up Friday night about 1930 (7:30 PM) by pool 2.

Basically I can provide nothing to this thread except the heartbreak of anticipation because I know nothing about no going ass-first off a cliff... or whichever direction you want to go.

Climbing
I am an avid climber and REALLY wanted to go outdoors last year at DC11. The best I got was a indoor climb at a mall (or something) on the strip -- they had an arcade in the basement. Still not a bad 120 feet of toproping.
Anyway, I will be coming again this year with 2 other climbers. Between the three of us we have 4 harnesses, 3 ropes (2 dynamic 1 static), a partial trad rack, 3 ATC belay devices, 12 quick draws, and 1 gri-gri. So, if we can find transportation for a day (we are flying in and will not be renting a car) hitting red rocks would be awesome. We have all be lead and belay certified by a local gym and climb at least twice a week.
Just e-mail the DC309 group if you want us to bring the gear and can arrange for transportation.
This could be the beginning of the ClimbingCon.

I might be interested in doing some climbing. Ive never done outdoor climbing and I would have to be able to rent som gear.

I was going to bring some toys to the Defcon shoot but I thought it would be a hassle at the airport with the DNC going on here in Boston, so climbing it is.
