That is a really beautiful picture. I have to admit though, that when it looks that scary from outer space I'm really glad I live in volcano, flood, freezing rain and earthquake country instead.

i wonder how my grandmother is doing... she just moved to florida, how unfortunate. she should have given me her damn piano before she moved. the citizens of florida should learn how to swim. especially the grandmothers.

Some people "choose" to live in (on any other day) tropical climent with averages of 70d in winter time? What gets me is the fact that people live in trailers out there, and want people to feel sorry for them! Who lives in a trailer willingly in southern Florida?

This is not to belitle their character. If your going to have that lifestyle, do you really think it's fair for the rest of us to feel bad that you choose that in Florida? Com'on now!

    /end rant

    Because I like controversy...

Do you donate to causes such as the Florida hurricane-relief fund or, equivalently, Kansas tornado-relief funds? On one hand, most of the victims chose to live in a dangerous location where disasters are not uncommon. On the other hand, people are suffering (foolish or otherwise).

PS: I apologize to bascule in advance if I get his thread kicked into /dev/null. :)
