I gave him/her the benefit of doubt and offered a sample of how it can happen.

There are legal methods for having your credit history altered. I am not a specialist in this, so treat my words as gossip:
If you have a bad mark on your credit history that was not your fault and is an error (such as non-payment or latepayment of a bill you paid on time) you can request proof of this from those who made the claim against you.
Things in credit land have changed since I heard this, so it may no longer be true for burden of proof to be on their side.
In the very least, if you have proof that you paid a bill and on-time, you may be able to provide it as proof their marks are incorrect, and have them fixed.

I have seen spam which makes claims of fixing your credit, but do not trust spam.

I do not know of any legal way to have correctly listed marks against you on your credit reports removed. Beware of anyone who claims they can.

Here is a page I found with a google search that seems to echo some of the things I recall on fixing mistakes in yoru credit report. They even seem to provide suggestions and sample letters. Be warned, the site is like an active commercial.

If changes happen in hours, perhaps there are rules for temporarily removing items being contested from your report.

what im saying is this ...im in finance and i see customers come in with negative marks on his or her credit report and after being sent away they come back i will obtain a new copy of credit report and some of the negitives are deleted...and in some cases some positives are added i was after anybodys opinion on the mechanics behind this....but thanx for the reply

How much time has passed since their visits? What do you mean you are in finance, finance for a: bank, law firm, retail? You cannot possibly ask a question that needs a specific answer with as few details as you give. Besides this is not really the place for your question; talk to your department supervisor, call your companies CC carrier. What your question boils down to is can you change CC reports electronically in a short amount of time. While you can rip off CC numbers from card holders (something which is illegal) I garentee that the CC carriers accounting department will not be so easily fooled.

But like I said this is not the place for the question you really want answered. And personally I call bull, because I think you are making this shit up.

Sounds more like someone got ahold of your credit card number rather than hacked into your computer (I'm assuming you mean computer when you say CPU). I'd call your credit card company and tell them to freeze your card.

This is not a how to or will you question!!!how ever it is far out of my cpu ability.I am in finance and see some strange things change on credit reports in a matter of hours, so my question is this do any of you guys feel like that could be controled over a cpu or in some other way..if by way of cpu i need to do my homework!!!!!!!!!!!! If any of you guy have an opinion it would be great.

I cannot seriously answer your question because:

1) "strange things that change" - What strange things? (Notice question mark) Vague references to even more vague alliteration to a question is no help at all.

2) CPU? As in the central processors calculation ability?

3) I doubt your companies CC#'s that they process are being tampered with. Corporations like CitiGroup have large divisions of personnel dedicated to CC fraud and there is such a thing as the card holder having common sense enough to look at their billing statement and see if their are any anomalies.
