complications with winzip and winrar

  • complications with winzip and winrar

    I have just downloaded some programs like( netcat and brutus) and i cant open them because i cant seem to extract them right from winrar and win zip.

    if you have any helpful coments please help me out.

    also if you knoow any other good programs worth having leave a list and a site

    thanks for any help

      Although I do not personally use it, I hear very good things about 7-Zip.

        I'm using 7-zip on both of my machines... It works great, but there is one thing that irritates me, it cannot extract tar.gz files in one operation. First you'll have to gunzip it and then you'll have to untar it..

          I use PicoZip and it will extract tar.gz files. Maybe try it out hope this helps.

            The reason that I use 7-Zip, is because it's open source and free. And PicoZip isn't free..
