I came up with some anti-phishing training here at work to try and educate people. Not sure how much good it does. If you're the type that will give your social security number to anyone who asks for it, you probably arent the type that will take this training to heart.

I recently had the privilege of testing some anti-phishing software. WOW I couldn't believe how much was out there. E-mail asking people for their personal information. Lots from well known banks and from EBAY. I would think that most people here would know not to give their information. But what about your friends and family? I have a friend that repeatedly sends me phishing notices that hotmail is running out of space and your mail will be deleted. Even though I explain it to him, he still sends me spam and phishing notices (hence, that's why he’s on my hotmail list).

So, just a note, tell your family and friends. No Bank or self respecting company will send you an e-mail asking for your personal information.
