  • 64 mb, syn dimm, 100?

Does anyone know how much brand new 64MB syn dimm, 100 memory is going for i have about 22-25 strips still in there boxes that were givin to me by my dads company and i have no use for them. I also have 36 256mb ddr memory that i have no use for. I tried doing a google search for the 64 meg strrps but it didnt turn out anything but used prices and ebay, thanks in advance to anyone that helps.(considering my past on these boards)

I guess I don't understand the problem: you have hardware that you would like to sell, but you aren't interested in the going rate on eBay? How do you plan on offloading it?

As for the price, I would imagine that the 64MB modules are worth next to nothing. They are extremely slow modules that won't work in modern computers, and the amount is so small it wouldn't be worth it. I imagine the 256MB sticks might have some value, but not as much as you'd think. Technology isn't an investment unless you are using it.

Check out www.pricewatch.com to see what the going rate for new equipment is. I see the former can be had for as low as $6, and the latter starts at $33.

You can use them to make a nifty belt or fishing lures. Epoxy them to your vega.

Is the 64MB memory 66MHz or is it one of those 100/133 chips? if it is a fixed 66MHz then it is valuable to those who own older HP machines where the memory speed checks the processor. if you put 100/133 in some of these older boxes they act up.

On the box that the memory is in, it says that it is 100MHz (PC 100 specifications). The 256 memory are pulls out of blue cross blue sheilds computers, they havent even been used they were pulled and new memory was put in so im not quite sure on everything about those. I have a friend with an older dell dimension IPS 7550 pentium 3 that the older 64MB chips worked in.

I'd check Ebay for the going rate then offer them here at 60% of that if I wanted to move them all asap.
