This time I will be keeping my opinions to a minimum.
I will try and focus on factual data rather than opinions. (Wrong or right, they dont go over too well here :-) )

How do you remember it? I had to carry you most of the way!
Hamburger Mary's has pretty good burgers for a good price, and it's within stumbling distance... OP can vouch.
Plus the eye candy is always nice.

Go to the Hard Rock Casino and at Mr. Lucky's (Open 24/7) you ask the waitress for 'The House Special' which won't be on any menu. 'The House Special' is an eight ounce steak, cooked anyway you like, three grilled jumbo shrimp, a baked potato and salad. for $7.:

i had mexican food at terribles and the portions are gargantuan! the food was decent too... one thing that sucks now though is that they no longer have all the crazy flavored margaritas... for kicks i ordered the "jalepeno" one a few years back and it was probably one of the worst tasting drinks i've ever had.....

Eating Subway on the cheap and getting more veggies than meat wears on you after the first couple of days.
The only caveat on this deal, you have to eat it at Mr. Lucky's (no carry-out) where they are privately hoping you bet your child's college money at the Blackjack tables.
I know this thread will fill up with other places with better and cheaper food than Mr. Lucky's, but if the constraint is that you must eat on the cheap within walking distance (no bus ride) of the Alexis Park, this wins hands down!
