    Hi guys,

Im trying to find the main differences between NT and Windows 2000/2003 and also the evolution of the XP and .net techonlogy.

What is .net? I have heard of it but im trying to find an easy to understand clear description of what it is, any chance of pointing me in a direction guys?

    Thanks in advance

C'mon man. Google 'what is microsoft .net' and choose the first result. At least give a little effort.
    perl -e 'print pack(c5, (41*2), sqrt(7056), (unpack(c,H)-2), oct(115), 10)'

I wonder if their reply is going to be anything like Chris's post?

              A) Form letter of receipt
              B) Notice that it is not a MS product
              C) Notice that they will answer your question for $300/hour at a minimum of 1 hour.
              D) Reply asking you for more information about your MS product
              E) Ignore you
              F) An answer about the DefCon conference
              G) An answer not about the DefCon Conference (like "Defense Condition")

              Which are most likely?

You know, if it weren't May and I hadn't just read a bunch of witless posts by people who didn't read the rules, can't figure out how to use google and don't know when not to contribute "everything they know about hacking(tm)" to a 2 year old thread I might have been in the mood to explain this to you. As it is, today you won't be getting any answers. If Defcon doesn't get canceled and you have still not managed to find your way to Microsoft's Knowledge Base or Technet I might feel inclined to answer some of your questions but probably not.

The short answer to your question, however is "the UI and some bug fixes" and ".net is not an operating system".
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
