Relax folks. I don't see anything wrong with this question whatsoever. He's asking for a pointer to books to get him started.

Now, there are a few other threads that address this...but they are relatively old. So, he had a choice. Post in those, and get flamed for dredging up an old thread, or start a new one.

It's one thing to lay the smack down when necessary...but I just don't see that it is warranted in this case. If you don't want to point him in a direction...then don't, but his question is not flame-worthy.

Sometimes when I read things like this... I remember back in the day, in grade school (or mine at least). There were little posters that said something like:

    1. Ask yourself
    2. Ask your 'neighbor' (aka peer)
    3. Ask the teacher if you still need help.

Maybe until your post count is over 20, another page should apeear before starting a thread or stating a reply that states
"Have you fully read the rules?"
    "Have you searched the forum?"
    "Have you searched google?"

God people... learn to research. This question is also really huge. I MIGHT see a question like this asking if anyone had else had read a paticular book or very specific 'focus' of "hacking" and had personal recommendation. Maybe spend a few hours looking through books in your local barnes and noble or something, pick what looks good to you, at your level, etc...
Live 'n' learn. (or learn to live? )

What's your worth? What is this forum for if we cannot speak.. I don't come here to ask anyone to help me hack or to get a cheesy yahoo password lol.... I came here to see what I can learn on my own. I don't beg so don't expect it. OK Second?
