    Well, based on what I have seen in many different OS, that might be an error message on boot where the OS Boot Disk can't be found.

      Bingo :) Just thought it was sort of a nifty diversion.

      (Currently on an old hardware kick at the moment - trying to figure out what goes and what stays.)

        After having built web pages with screen scrapes of MS Windows diaglog boxes and control panels to better help users to know how to use things...
        .... and then having them call up the help desk to wonder why their control panel was frozen...
        ... and then having the service technician who visits/remote-vsits the machine note the user was trying to "click" on the web page image as though it were their control panel....

        I think such a web page might have amusing effects on people if it were an error for the OS they normally use.

        A web page with a windows/Mac OS X Error about critical error and reboot required would probably have people pressing their reset buttons.
