I would try a whoppix (or whatever the hell they are calling it now) bootable cd.. you will have much better luck. I have heard _many_ horror stories about the windows version of airsnort not working worth a damn..

Furthermore most, if not all AP's manufactured and shipped after 2002-2003 have firmware which avoids using the weak IV's that airsnort depended on to break a WEP key. I seem to recall that newer versions of airsnort might not depend on the weak IV's, but the inherent problem of getting drivers that support RF-Mon on windows still makes that platform suck balls.
Also, something looks broken from the above, if you only have got 65K packets from transferring 6.5 GB data.
You might have better luck with a Linux Live CD like the auditor security collection CD, which includes newer versions of airsnort, and newer tools like the aircrack suite.

AirSnort for Windows
Has anyone actually been able to get AirSnort for Windows to work. I have been running mine for 4 hours, I have 2 PC's setup transfering DVD between the 2 and not getting any interesting packets. I have about 65,000 packets and 600 encrypted/unique packets. Any suggestion would be very helpfull.
