Hallo! I am from Moscow and wanna take part in DEFCON in 2006. Would
you please explain the order of participation. Where and when shall I
register? Probably someone might give contact information or likewise,
can it be done remotedly (by e-mail or by other means)?
The information concerning the cost of participation is also critical.
As far as I understand the participation fee is paid right befor the
confernce?
by the way where will the DEFCON 2006 take place?

The date/time/location has not yet been released. There is no registration, just show up.

By the way, it's been cancelled.

Such information is often made public some time in January, or much later in the year (December.) There is/was a DefCon mailing list or two where announcements have been made.

DefCon has historically taken place the last weekend in July/First weekend in August, in Las Vegas. There have been conflicting reports on use of the Alexis Park/Villas again, so it may be at a new location, or it may not.

There is no registration procedure. Just show up and pay in cash, perferably in US dollars.

But, I hate to tell you this, Defcon 14 has been cancelled.

All of this information should be available on the DefCon Website. No pre-registration, no signup, no age restrictions to buy a pass for all 3 days, you pay in cash onsite, many hotels with casino have minimum age of 21, a few without casino have a minimum age of 18, and for information on the alexis park, do a google search, first manuial google search is free:

google search for alexis park has first and second hits for the location.

Black Hat USA 2006 is scheduled to take place July 29th - August 3rd at the Caesars Palace. So, this would schedule Defcon to take place August 4th - August 6th at a TBA location.
