It's not specifically him, he is only an example. I am not saying I am better than anyone else, but no one is better than me either. We each have something to contribute, and the government should treat us all equally without reservations or income, race, creed...etc.

Maybe I read the constitution wrong when it said "All men are created equal." or maybe there is an implied fact that I am missing that says "Unless they are dirt poor or exceedingly wealthy"

I could go into this arguement on many, many things.

Let's see. Why is there a "Black History Month", when there is not an "American Indian Month" or simply an "American History Month"?

How come cable tv has 2 channels devoted specifically to black people, spanish people have their own station, but there is no other people's channels?

How come there are specialized agencies that are meant to get black people into college, but it is "racist" to form an asian, indian or white person one?

We are all supposed to be equal, but you know what? We, as human beings, see a person by the clothes they wear, the color of their skin and their base beliefs.
We try our best not to be biased, but it happens. No matter how equal we make the laws, eventually it turns into a race/belief system/society rank pissing contest.

I, for one, would enjoy being able to walk down the street looked at as a man who gave his time to his country and works hard. A man who is judged by his actions, instead of what clothes I can afford, car I drive, so fourth, and I hope, as a society, that one day we figure out exactly how to do that.

I am confused though. How does this keep coming to politics, instead of keyloggers?

The fact that most of our population is middle class is a great testament to out country. <yadda yadda yadda>
The republican party is a party of big business and its always been known to be that way. Since you are a republican your going to have trouble accepting that.

You are a more liberal (compared to Allentrace) opinion trying to get your views across. The fire will always smoulder and one of you will always want to have the last word.

I'm just going to make a suggestion that this thread is closed. I mean, there is a reason politics and religion is in dev/null.

Actually we had a nice little chat and both found that we respect each others positions. And believe it or not my politics rarely come into the equation. I am a historian I use historical facts tempered with modern knowledge in my arguements (note: arguements e.g. discussions)

What makes the difference is that this is not a flame war between me and Ridirich simply a discussion between educated and diverse opinions. I like other peoples opinion it forces me to be equally sharp or dull as the case may be.

To characterize the Republican Party as the "Party of Big Business" is simplistic. If one is willing to believe such labeling, then one should also readily accept that the Democratic Pary is the party of the "Tax and Spend Liberals."

Such labels make great sound bites for the 6 o'clock news by cretins running for office, but neither is fair nor accurate.

Honestly, I have no problem with Allentrace. As he said, we talked in PM too.

I still wanna talk about keyloggers. Perhaps someone could attempt to re-track the subject?

                I do. No worries there.

I'll try with the same way I tried before, but miserably failed.
Given the nature of Trusted Computing do you think that it would be possible for the government to only allow computers they deem "Secure" to browse their websites? If a computer is not deemed secure could that then give them a chance to make sure we are trustworthy? Remote attestation (even though it won't be in any OS for a bit Vista has similiar features) would make it possible for your browser to check and see if your machine is running unmodified software. It could also check if you have hacker tools, services or other things it doesn't like currently running. Basically you could have a site making a Remote Attestation before it allows you to visit so it can see if it likes how you are using your computer. The man would be bringing a brother down, yo.

In a scenario like that you could potentially have a website saying, "You can't come here because you have a copy of Daemon Tools currently running. You may be a software pirate. In order to prove that you can be trusted you must first install our spyware." Far fetched, yes, but I don't think impossible. That could create a scenario where keylogging becomes a must have in order to go to certain sites.

You know, that is an interesting idea.

Certain games run anti-cheat programs(like punkbuster), so to play the games you must install the software.

I would have to think on it more, but honestly at this point in time, to a certain degree that would be ok with me. Servers are open, sure...but just like when someone visits my home, I don't want them walking around with stinger missles. Same for the servers, they might not want invasive software active upon entering their site.
