I purchased VX7 as I understood using the programming software the frequency can be expanded, after installing and trying to expand the TX down from 144 to 143 (which I need for Paragliding with my instructor) I still get TX Error. Does anybody know if this unit needs physical modification?

I edited your original post to have the quote refer with a url to the original thread.

The original thread was old-- 2 years old. Posting to such old threads with a support question is less than ideal.

When threads get too old, it is better to start a new thread, than reply.

If you asked a, "simple tech support question," this would have gone straight to /dev/null. However, this appears to be a question on "non-standard modification," so, I'm being nice.

If nobody answers your question in a short while, this thread goes to /dev/null. If I can find an answer to this with google and minor effort, I will not be happy.

Incidently mods.dk is a great site for just about any radio. I learned just about everything I needed to mod FT-50s there.

Also, check out the programming cable and software for the VX7, makes life a lot easier if you want to build multiple templates.

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me
