  • Roskilde Festival '06?

Will anyone be going to Roskilde festival this year?
Would be cool if we could meet and have a talk/coke/beer/something!

I'm located in the vicinity of Roskilde (I'm either in Copenhagen, or up north in Odsherred), but not going to Roskilde Festival. But I'll meet you for a beer, before or after the festival.

City of Mermaids (check my translation ) = Jomfruernes by?
      Which town is that?

Mermaids != Jomfruer. Jomfru means virgin. Not many of those left here.
It's a hint towards Copenhagen, since Copenhagen has got the little mermaid statue.

Also as soon as the sun shines here in the summertime, there's an exodus of girls towards the beaches surrounding the city. Fortunately my Copenhagen home is about 5 minutes walk from one of the better beaches. ;)

BTW, I saw your age in another thread. No beer for you, only softdrinks. I do hope you are going with somebody a bit older (I.E. a responsible adult) to Roskilde Festival, and not on you own or only with some at your own age. Same goes for meeting up with people you've only spoken to on the internet, including grumpy old bastards like me.

That's why I wrote coke in the first place :)
Figured out Copenhagen as the first "hint", but wasn't sure. I just thought
Mermaids := Girls. Writing early in the morning makes my english worse than usual.
Course I'm with people at the Festival!

            Yeah, fine point
That's why I asked about people going to the festival. Lots of people, at least a hundred, could hear me screaming
if (Dutch/other person == nice guy) == false
Another reason why I "choose" the Festival was, that it can be just *a little* hard to persuade parents that their children have to meet this *I think he's great* person on an internet forum.

I would prefer not going with my parents, but it should definitely be a place where I could "flee", if I didn't like you .

Actually, you should bring your parents along for the following reason : So they can see that patrons of the DC forums aren't those terrible "hackers" they read about in the media, (well at least some of us aren't.. /looks at Thorn ::), and that even if you're just a teen, the common trait of having an inquisitive mind with regards to computers, can build bridges across both borders and age.

So if you still want to meet up, bring the parents, and I'll buy you all lunch at a good place in Copenhagen. I'll guarantee good conversation, and even take you all for a guided tour of the sights in central Copenhagen.

                Re: Roskilde Festival '06?

I live close to Copenhagen, no need for a tour :)

My parents won't "buy" that one. It may be true, (it probably is true) but my parents wouldn't like it. Guess we'll have to wait a few years before meeting.
