I've always been willing to put myself at great personal danger for the entertainment of others...

Test? What kind of hackers are you? You are supposed to try and open it with wanton disregard for your own safety or that of others! :) Kidding.

I do volunteer to try it first, I've got some ideas to test the box initially

That's it.. I'm voting for Renderman to make first contact with the box.. my balls are not going within 10 feet of that thing ;)

Care and feeding of Mystery Boxes

The Mystery Boxes should be kept at least 2 feet from any hard drive based computers. They are afraid of most OSes.

Don't put your wallet on or near a mystery box if you enjoy using your credit cards, the boxes are known for comitting identity theft.

Be sure to feed the boxes if they eat all of their food supply. They aren't much fun on an empty stomach.

Use caution when handling boxes, they have on occasion been known to bite (accidentally of course, they aren't mean).
