well feds or not, i just wondered what they were so afraid of us seeing. i doubt they have count rooms in the same towers where the guests stay and such

A little birdy said that was bullhonkey with a side of stinky donkey sac.. something about someone *claiming* to be FBI... mostly rumors. So don't fear, I'm sure there weren't any feds on the premise this year.

Oh, I am sure there were feds, but I don't think it was anything more than the ones who come every year. ;-)

I was told that wasn't true, there was no official FBI presence.

As far as I know there hasn't been one at past defcons, so it seemed odd. But the guy seemed fairly convinced. Next year I'll ask for the room #. :-)

I don't know if it's related, but one of the hotel staff told me the FBI had a command center set up in the hotel.

I can't help with what's up there, but we also accidentally got off on that floor. Same thing, saw the signs and looked around but didn't see anyone. No one hassled us though.
