  • Flight tracking

I came across this link recently that shows a Quicktime movie of a flight tracking system that is tracking all flights over the US in a day. The sky is very crowded! Cool to watch the flow of flights and how the pattern changes during the day.

    Re: Flight tracking

This tracking animation is yet another proof that flying is still the safest way to travel, statistically.

If you ever want to see something cool (hmm...cool may not be the right word...try interesting) google for the FAA animation from 9/11/01. It is amazing to see it go from a full sky to no planes in about an hour.
      perl -e 'print pack(c5, (41*2), sqrt(7056), (unpack(c,H)-2), oct(115), 10)'
