    Ways to stop a brute force attack in Windows environment?

    I am looking for either software (Windows) or hardware solution that will detect HTTP/FTP login brute force attack and block the source IP.

    So far I only found SecureSphere appliance by Impreva, a company I've never hear of.

    Do you guys know of reliable vendor who sells such a solution? Thanks in advance!

      What web/FTP server platform are you talking about anyway, IIS?

        If IIS, check out Microsoft's urlscan download ... well .. assuming that is still viable. My practical IIS dates by .. 5 years now?
        if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

          Yes, this is a IIS v5 and v6 web farm.
