  • Sexual hacksploitation

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770

Once he had their e-mail addresses, the father of two used some of the most advanced computer programmes seen by police to hack into their PCs, clearly demonstrating the "horrors that lurk within the internet" and the depravity of some of those using it.

Inner London Crown Court was told that once he had demonstrated his control over their systems, by moving cursors around, opening files, switching on printers and, in one case, opening and closing the CD Rom drawer, he then blackmailed his victims into stripping and sending explicit poses of themselves.

Holy shit, you mean after all these years.. all it really takes to get a woman naked is an RDP connection?!?
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.

          Haha!

Really. I understand that some psycho doing strange things with your PC might be annoying. But why send pictures? He hasn't really got anything to blackmail with?

Another described her ordeal as "internet rape" and even spoke of committing suicide.
Seriously... He has your passwords. We're talking about FOUR secret words. Maybe 20, at worst. Suicide is the way out?

As Ringland's collection of illicit images grew, he became conviced he was untouchable. He even boasted to one child: "Call the cops....they won't trace me."
Totally nuts... Glad they busted him.

Such exploits don't require a computer:
            http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/...WS01/510090392

Some of the video feed was included on "Primetime" with an interview of the manager and maybe her boyfriend/husband who was asked to watch the "suspect" and talk on the phone to the "officer."

One of the interesting things that came out of this event, is the manager asked a maintenance employee to help her with this call, and his opinion was that it was a hoax or prank and he wanted nothing to do with it.

The CD-ROM shenanigans make it sound more like netbus than RDP.

I remember this because I was fascinated with social engineering at the time it came out, I wish I knew where the links were to post the best recollection transcripts, as the guy was pretty good at transitioning the victims into doing it and believing his authority, that is my recollection based of memory anyway so sorry.

                  From the Article:
"The assembly-line process very deliberately tries to take away any thought or discretion from workers," said Reiter, who teaches at Toronto's York University and who spent 10 months working at a Burger King as part of her research. "They are appendages to the machine."

Reminds me of something else i saw on tv. It was one of those video clip montage type shows, 100 greatest something or another. There was this 14 or 16 year old girl at jack in the box who was at the drive in window when a police officer paid his food with a ten and received $5 in change, he insisted that he gave her a $20 and demanded that he get the rest of his change. She refused saying she gave correct change didn't even have a $20 bill in her till and would not give the officer more money then he deserved. He was being forceful and she told him to leave, like she would ANY customer. He demanded the money, he spoke with the manager who told him there wasn't a $20 bill in the till, so the cop said the girl took it, in the end the officer came in, jumped the counter grabbed the girl inappropriately, maced her, and took her to jail. All the while she was saying she wanted to call her mom, it was later proven on tape showing her take the money, plus the cash in the girls till and her empty pockets that he gave her a $10. So the whole thing that went down was an abuse of power and the other adult managers and all those present let this police officer do that without requesting other officers, or standing up for the girl. Just because he was an officer. There is a lot of blind obedience by the general public to anyone in uniform. In the end it was an abuse of power which was suspected to be something this officer did often. ( don't know if it was proven or not ) If you are a cop, who is going to argue with you about your change? No teenager wants that trouble, just give the cop an extra $10 because its scary to them, but there are a handful of kids like those 2 who don't fall for it.

There are countless crimes committed by those in uniform, fake or official, that no one thinks to question or say "Hey, stop what you are doing, I need to verify this is ok with another officer" But then again society has a way of training us to not ask questions and obey the authority and privilege those in power have, simply as a matter to stay out of their way and let them do their job. I myself have been known to do it to, and I have seen others do it to me. It seems common to me that If someone in authority does something once justly, then the next time they want something you may not even bother asking why because they are important and you don't want to waste their time. If a goon asks to see your badge you better show it to them. "Why? Because I F-N Said so, so do it now"

Does anyone have any stories where they personally were involved in something like this? People of authority, manipulation, abuse of power, someone tried something, you tried something? Get a Girl to go on a date if you fixed her computer? Raise your allowance if you get all the porn pop ups to go away for dad? ( I think we are all too old for that, but eh ) Etc etc?

Anyways, sorry , i'm hoping to take the time to recall something or perhaps find some addtional links, but i may not be able to, as ive been under the weather for a few days now and prone to long ramblings given the drugs im on. Be glad this isnt an oral discussion you would be held hostage for hours listening to my unwitty dialog filled with useless "likes" and "Omg's" And "OH wait there is more"
