If it was just the one time thing I wouldn't have mentioned it. It happened on all 4 of my computers after the new AVG update.

no I checked the logs, it said there was no other virus other than the software itself and It was a trojan. I scanned it with a trial of kaspersky and found no such thing. I guess that is what yo uget when your anti-virus is free.

I think you may have to actually look at the logs as to why it disabled/deleted access? I think you'll find limewire rather loaded with spyware and other nasty's which is the point of AV software to detect/protect.

    Anti -(peer-to-peer)-virus

I know it isn't a NEW thing for anti-virus makers to try to snuff out peer to peer networks, but a new one has just added themselves to the list. AVG now blocks out Ares completely. And also blocks Limewire. It renders Limewire unable to connect and Ares it completely removes or disables without your permission. In order for Ares or Limewire to work I had to Remove it completely. My E-mule now works as well it was unable to connect before as well. I thought it was E-mule and Limewire services but it was my anti-virus the whole time.

If anyone uses these services just letting you know if you remove avg they will function properly. I recommend another anti-virus that hasn't counted p2p as a virus yet. I am currently looking for one now.
