Everyone missed all the instructions for last round.
Must everything always be spelled out for you?
Trash talking everyone alienates even those most interested-
Not only all the morons evaluating this post,
but even talented onlookers simply skimming the forums.
Really- even giving information straight to everyone rarely
succeeded in past competitions, it simply didn’t work!
1057 now? Sir, a war is won! 1057!

Maybe clues for DC17's challenge can be included inside the box you create this year. Or parts/ colors/ methods used this year an be a clue for 2009.

It doesn't take crypto,
it doesn't take math-
Just read it off simply,
to find the right path.

Wow, the silence is deafening.

In the first place, I don't know who is working on registration-

It will be fun to see who is left standing at the end of all of this...

Check your logs... I've tried several times. But it would appear a miss is as good as 1.6 km.

Though not part of a team, and not attending DefCon this year, I'm still tempted to try figuring all this out.

Sereyna,

Is your sig in reference to a Mystery box? ;)

...but seem to be among the lost.

Was that meant to be punny considering who is running this event?

While traveling, the in-law's lack of a network connection prevents further attempts until next week.

I think I've got it cracked, and did what it told me to do but have not gotten any response yet. Is LosT off the air, or do I have to go back to the drawing board?

Gotta give it time. LosT is a busy man.

So is anyone else working on this challenge?

LosT

No, this contest is designed and built by me, alone.

x58 just knew that I was out of town.

I attempted to ask LosT, but I received only a terse reply which I took to mean that he was really busy...

Does anybody know what round one of registration was? He signed off one post here in an odd number base, and then I didn't see any followup. (Of course, I was unable to read for a few months so I may have missed it.) Did mysterychallenge.org have something else posted up before the current message?

Also, are there multiple layers to the current round of registration? I am registered, but there was some leftover bits that I haven't had time to look at. They bug me because I feel I'm only half done.

Do you really think the competition is going to assist you in a public forum? :)

Voltage Spike: You are only half done. After you register with LosT you have to do something else. It is all in the forums and his website.

So I've finished up through step 58 of the pre-registration, including that cold fusion thing; but now step 59 has me kind of stumped. Any hints?

Thus the subterfuge begins already. You guys are nasty! :)

The Russian black market. (They sell the nuclear stuff cheap.)
