Registration is officially open.

http://dc949.org/oCTFIV/

Remember, this is open CTF, there's no qualification round and anyone can play. Registration is preferred, but not required. You will receive important status updates via email, and it helps us get everything ready.
As always, Walk-up teams will be accepted at DefCon, but you may be missing something you need. (or would really like)

Just wanted to point out that I'm sure the registration announcement means steganography as opposed to stenography.

Unless some of you are writing shellcode in shorthand, at which point you are far more leet than I. :)

Thanks for the once over, fixed.
Also, there has been a great turnout for just over 24 hours, see you all in Augest!

If you plan on participating in oCTF, I highly recommend registering, there will be something extra for teams that register.

Dear folks,

It will be my second time to attend to DefCon and I don't have much details about OpenCTF and could you advise me about the start date/time of the contest?

Meanwhile, I have registered as an One-Man-Bank team, anyone could let me in to play?

Regards,
Anthony Lai, Hong Kong

Hi CP,

I am thankful to your information and, apart from the laptop, I need additional hard disk with OS or...?

Regards,
Anthony

Well, we recommend bringing whatever you need for an instillation of your data and OS, it wouldn't be much fun if your laptop decides not to boot, and you cant do a damn thing about it.

Come Prepared!
