Is the minimal lighting going to consist of blacklights? since that produces some visible light as well as neon effect? or is this going to be geared more towards lighted gadgets than blacklight reactive?

the moving lights have a near UV color in them . this will be used quite often . and UV reactive colors will glow .

I will still have lighting but it will be minimal .

I don't remember seeing large crowds of intensely sexy people at Defcon 14, but maybe I'm getting senile in my old age.

Can we have a theme other than BDSM or panties? One where people can go all out and still wear something there?

on a side note... when did the airlines stop the complimentary lei's for people arriving in Honolulu? i was totally expecting one (and you wouldn't believe the number of "are you going to get lei'd on the plane" jokes i heard before flying out)

I am not sure. I know that tourist use to get a lei upon arrival years ago but I believe these days only tour groups are greeted in the traditional manner.

As a practice, when I had to meet someone at the airport I would bring lei's for them.

yah his works are amazing! we were going to bring this 'recognizer' from Tron ( http://tinyurl.com/4a3dom ) last year to defcon but the people that owned the warehouse where it was stored for new years decided it would be fun to throw it off the roof... grrrrr!!!!

There is an artist that works with Greensector events that produces some absolutely incredible large scale installations that I think would be perfect for the b&w ball. He can create custom designs for any environment and his style would so be fitting at defcon!

It hasnt been posted yet, and its been done before at clubs. How about a Playboy Mansion style party, silk robes, pajamas, lingerie. Ive seen some of the attire people have brought in the past, and can only imagine what people would show up wearing.

Not sure what the two themes will be, but I'm guessing DJ Jackalope is into her Japanese School Girl outfit because of her rocking social engineering at Katsucon a couple weeks ago!

DT I was the one wearing the .jp school uniform at katsucon a few months ago. Just as a general warning I will not be wearing a school girl uniform this year.
