So, nothing related to Black and/or White in the theme? No duality? "Players Ball" as a theme really only lends itself to men dolling up in groovy stuff. Ladies want to dress freaky, too! Feather boas and stripper heels aren't as fun to wear as they are to look at.

Here are some opposites that fell out of my skull... maybe each night could have its own set of opposites to make the revelers less homogeneous?

past/future (steampunk/cyberpunk?)
build/destroy
dark/light
defend/attack
east/west
guilty/innocent
kind/cruel
analog/digital
chaos/order

Mostly I just want to dress obnoxiously, but its more fun to do that when everyone else is dressed obnoxiously as well.

i still think a tacky prom is in order for sat night hell i can even book a photographer for the evening .. anyone know of a opposite of that ?

i highly support you being heavily-armed... but even without significant weaponry, this photo from your gallery comes close to P33v3's "Mistress of Spin Dominatix outfit" concept, i think...

hawt. with a capital H. of course your hair is shorter now and you're probably too tiny to fit into that getup anymore. hmm.... what sort of treatment can you give vinyl to make it shrink?

Gotta bypass me in a Kimono.... the one I have is handpainted and a wedding kimono worth probably way over a grand.... there is talk about me in a schoolgirl outfit, and i don't mean the Japanese kind.

And I was hoping for the French Maid outfit this year.

Hmm how about combining the ideas and hold a "Players" ball. Pimps and Ho's theme. That would accommodate alot of the ideas including Lopey in her Kimono. Ninja's, Pirates, Prom attendees, porn stars all welcome.

I like this idea and it sounds good. Now would we spell it "Players", "Playerz" or both?

Of all the contests, the one with the greatest complication for setup/tear-down would probably be the aCTF. The running of cables (power and networking) as well as the lugging of all their servers would probably mean 2 to 4 hours of setup and tear down every day, not counting the first day of setup which might take a day or more depending on how many people were working on it. If the cables could be left in-place at night, and the systems placed on pallets, and a pallet jack was handy (and permitted on carpet) the setup and tear-down could be minimized.

Without giving too much away, I believe I can safely say that moving our equipment in and out this year is going to be damn near infeasible unless we are provided with many minions and some virgins for sacrifice. However, some of this equipment we are planning to bring includes EPIC lighting and sound gear... as such we are QUITE willing to have a party in the contest area allowing we can get help guarding all our gear and maybe even some privileges to USE our sound and lighting gear for everyone's enjoyment. Thoughts?
