Re: Carpal Tunnel....ideas?
My sister and my ex both had jobs that involved typing all day. Both started feeling the effects of RSI and they both got a pair of Handeze style gloves to wear while working. They said that they made all the difference in the world, and they could hardly feel them while working.
Im also getting the beginning pains of RSI, mainly in my mousing hand. Personally I didnt really like the feel of the gloves, I did notice a difference at the end of the day though. What I have now is a Dynaflex gyro that I use every day. Along with stretching and exercising my wrist, it helps make it stronger. Convinced my sister to try mine, and she then stole it from me claiming she needed it more, heh.
As with all stress related injuries, alternating heat and cold helps to soothe pain and the like, but to help defeat the cause I would suggest strength training type work with your upper back, arms and wrists.

I'm going to switch mouse hands, I have a beanbag wristrest and an ergonomic keyboard, and besides stretching, is there anything else anyone can think of do to? (Besides get a life and not be in front of keys all the time?) Are the wrist braces worth it?
Also, assuming you're using a desk, make sure the keyboard height is correct ergonomically for you. Most desktops are at 30", but for the average person the keyboard should be more about 26"-27"high. That alone can reduce an incorrect flex of the wrists by a fair amount.
