kind of makes you wonder about the futrure
    GOD:
Art thou not sorry for these heinous deeds?

    Shanker:
ON Ay, that I had not done a thousand more.
Even now I curse the day--and yet, I think,
Few come within the compass of my curse,--
Wherein I did not some notorious ill,
As kill a man, or else devise his death,
    Ravish a maid,

It's been a problem for years, though the graphics they use make it look worse.

May be time for a new government "space waste management" program? Lots of employment opportunities all the way to the moon and beyond!

Lots of gold up in there space junk :-). Of course retrieving some governments broken spy satellite mite not make you a popular person. You mite find yourself stabbed with a Ricin filled umbrella or be handed a glass of water with thallium in it.

However, I imagine you could apply the rules of slavage in international waters to space as technically no one owns space, yet.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. This applies to making babies, hacking, and youtube videos.

I just read the other day something about this. Anything in space is generally owned by whatever country launched it.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.
