What is everyone's current word on 2600 HOPE?

Just wanted to check in with everyone to see what their Hope plans are. I know it's all early, but I started looking into flights, etc tonight. Everything is hell expensive from my neck of the woods which blows.

Who is staying in the hotel and what days are you leaving/coming in on.

Anyone speaking?

I didn't make an airline reservation tonight, still plotting a little. Possibly plotting the Hope is too much to go to. Not really sure, yet.

I'll be there. Riding Amtrak up Thursday evening and returning Sunday evening.

For those within the east coast corridor, riding 'regular' Amtrak vice the "Acela Express" can significantly reduce your costs (sometimes by as much as 50%), at the expense of a little extra time (in my case, 20-30 minutes). AAA discount will save you even more.

Depending on funds I'll be there for at least a day or 2 maybe more. Being here in Philly I have the option to commute each day which is actually cheaper than a hotel.

What you didn't consider it playing with the other team in our hotel room in San Diego last year... the night involving Absinthe, handcuffs, and crisco? I'm sure there are photos somewhere on an SD card. I know one fellow who still has a scar and stitches from that evening.

(Heh, how many people realize this is my dry, dry wit showing through. Or is it?)

I think theprez98 and I will be speaking. They said they wanted to hear our spiel but we think they confused us with someone else so waiting on their 'final answer.'

It would certainly be nice to see you there. Rumor has it there are some decent bars and restaurants in the area so if the talks are a wash, alcohol always fills the gap.

Out the front doors of the Hotel Penn, turn right, turn right and go down w33rd towards the Empire state building, half way down the block on the left hand side of the road is the Blarney Rock. Best Corned Beef Sandwich I've ever had and they know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness.

I'll be living there for the better part of the 3 days.

Out the front doors of the Hotel Penn, turn right, turn right and go down w33rd towards the Empire state building, half way down the block on the left hand side of the road is the Blarney Rock. Best Corned Beef Sandwich I've ever had and they know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness.

Corned beef!!! you can't go to New York without having a hot pastrami sandwich :-)!!!! it's in the rules some where. It's like coming to Philly and not trying a cheese steak.

Dev - do you still wanna try opening a safe with thermite? I have everything we'll need except an expendable safe.

We're still waiting to hear if we're speaking, and we are planning on setting up a Clipper Chip TSD phone network to let people try and eavesdrop. I think I'll bring along a police identikit for people to play with too.

Mouse, is it a genuine Smith & Wesson Identi-Kit with the film overlays? I was certified by S&W c. 1985 for making composites with the Identi-Kit. There is a real trick to using them.
