    Hats banned from Yorkshire pubs over CCTV fears
    Pubs in Yorkshire have been ordered to ban people from wearing flat caps or other hats so troublemakers can be more easily recognised. ... The measure, designed to prevent people from obscuring their faces from CCTV cameras, has been questioned by Barnsley's former Test umpire Dickie Bird, 75, well-known for his favoured white flat cap. He said: "Asking a Yorkshireman to take off his flat cap -- whoever heard of anything so silly.
    "I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

    I guess they'll have to ban long hair to prevent "miscreants" from hiding their face with it while they sip on their pints. Haven't they ever heard of bouncers? It's not like it's hard to hold a drunk guy till the cops get there since the floor does half the work.

    • Bob wakes up in drunk tank

      They are trying to replace bouncers with taser robots. Besides, it's not like they can ask you to remove your dread pirate Robert mask--they are dreadfully comfortable.
