Pilosov / Kapela presentation? Wth?

I feel like I'm losing my mind. I came across this AP article this morning which has been copy/pasted to all of the major news sites today, and can't find anything under any names I can come across. Where the hell is this presentation?

...self-described computer ninjas at the infamous gathering in Las Vegas found out Sunday that their online activities were hijacked without them catching on.

A standing-room crowd cheered admiringly as Tony Kapela and Alex Pilosov showed them how they were "pwned" by a simple technique that could be used to "steal the Internet."

I can't find anything under the names Kapela or Pilosov and looking at the tracks on Sunday, I can't figure out what this is in reference to.

How'd I miss this talk and where's the presentation on the CD?

The talk was a last-minute addition to the conference; the lawyers didn't sign off until Saturday evening. Tony Kapela is also known as Xam, and was one of the speaker goons.

Not sure about a code release, what they did was BGP announcements and TTL incrementing to hide the hops.

There are some cisco commands included in the slide presentation showing how to set up the BGP announcements. For the TTL tricks, they used iptables on a linux box IIRC.

Thanks for the link. Wish Alex had told me where, instead of just when, and I'd have been there. Anyone hear whether they were also presenting this (or similar) at the upcoming NANOG?

I've been considering getting a good shredder for a while for exactly those reasons, actually.

The other day, though, a friend pointed out to me that my apartment has a fireplace that I had completely forgotten about somehow....
