My account of events with this "Faye".

She approached me when I was manning theSummit entrance Thursday night asking if I could direct her to Kevin Mitnick. I told her that he was most likely not around, and she continued to talk to me about how social engineering was the reason she was at the con, she accidentally read "one" of his books but was working on reading the rest, and that she used SE a lot in "her business". She asked for my phone number, at the time she did not seem like a crack head...so I gave her my GC #. She then disappeared for awhile, I could only assume she was working the party.

Later on, when the Summit was coming to a close she appeared and started talking to everyone. She tagged along with us to dinner/breakfast at the PM, when somebody made a joke about her being a federal agent because she was not drinking. This is when her personality changed drastically. She freaked out and was frantically trying to convince everyone she was not a fed. This was when she started getting up to go the the bathroom. She must have gone at least 8x in 30 minutes.

We left, i crashed, and woke up the next day to my phone ringing continuously from a number in the 512 area code. After the 4th call I picked up and she stated she was unsure of how she got my number, but she kept calling me Kevin. I told her no one was here by that name, and hung up. Got another call from her that night (friday) and got the same story. She said she was looking for Mitnick, and ""she knew this was his phone number, why wouldnt I let her talk to him"". I stopped picking up after that, which caused her to leave some pretty "cracked-out" voicemails over the weekend.

I saw her saturday night at the HP party, where she was talking to Winn. I whispered to Winn that she was the wrong person to be talking too. Some time later she came up to me and said quote "im a hooker sweetie, stop telling people im a fed". i dont know where she got the idea I was going around pumping this crap. I then told her quote..."I really dont give a shit". I had to use the bathroom, which was when she followed me downt he hall towards the crapper...asking me what I wanted to do with her. This was when i told her to piss off.

The next day I heard from Dallas and Hackajar that she was going around telling people I held her at gunpoint and tried to sexually assault her. Anyone who knows me knows that the 2 critical items in that story "held at gunpoint" and "tried to sexually assault her" are impossible to be true, for reasons that are pretty funny. I bat for a different team, and cannot legally purchase/possess a firearm as of yet.

Im pretty sure thats when she lost all her credibility around the groups I associate with. She tried Sunday night to get embedded with guys no one knows at the pool, and they atarted yelling obscenities to the Vegas 2.0 and Agent Orange guys, which thanks to them...was quickly stopped. Eventually the guys she was with "sent over" a sober representative, I played a few of the crazy voice mails she left for me, and that situation was resolved. We soon after had her removed from the property by hotel security.

Thats my story with "Faye", whats yours?

I also believe we should drop this. It seems like we are promoting her agenda.

I didn't meet this person at Defcon. However I am now endlessly amused that its possible to fail at being a hooker. You'd think that job would be fairly easy (I've never manwhored, so I dont know myself), yet this girl has somehow managed to fail at being able to get people to fuck her for money.

In a weird way, I'm impressed. Hats off to you, failgirl.

I asked once about kevin mitnick. You were the one that wouldnt shut up about him all night long. and I guess you dont remember asking me if I wanted Kevin's number? I didnt figure out it that it was yours till later. oh well.

If you dont remember correctly, I WAS drinking.. Alcohol has a diuretic effect...hence all the bathroom trips. Lets not forget this is where you propositioned me with, "I'll show you, my badge if you show me yours" and telling me you were FBI or whatever so I would admit to being gov myself.

that was the hacker pimp party? I thought it was above the contest area...oops. Anyway. I might have eluded to being a hobbyist to wynn, but it was all a joke, and he was joking back too. And btw I never followed you out of the party down the hall. This is a straight up lie. I started having trouble breathing and I left. I tried to make it down the elevators but some kind people thought I needed help. I have plenty of witnesses so there goes your story of how I tried to molest you.

Second, I never told anyone you tried to sexually assault me. So thats them starting drama on their own. I did say that you almost broke my arm for whatever reason you felt like using martial arts on me. My guess was that I got too close to the back piece you might have been carrying around.

And btw it was pretty silly to have the guys in the weird pants follow me around. I was actually on my way out before they started stalking me. However, with some weird guys following me, I surely wasnt about to leave the building alone with people following me. But thanks for calling security, he asked me to leave the pool area only, but I told him I wanted to go back to my hotel. Telling security that I had serviced two of your friends was pretty shitty though. And btw that only makes them as guilty as I would have been. The next day I was partying back at the Riv so, no harm done, but thanks for the effort.


Anyway. It seems I've made several enemies here that are plotting to make me look like a crazy bitch, so it doesnt really matter what I say to tell my story, Im going to be in the wrong no matter what. Thanks for giving me a better insight to how hackers REALLY act. So you can stop now...cause I dont plan on being back next year.

Just dont keep changing your story and spreading stuff about each of us. We are a pretty close knit group, one you are welcome to add your color too, however..just be somewhat truthful. I personally heard you proposition, I personally heard you ask about Kevin Mitnick (why is beyond me), and I personally heard you change stories about Feds. Even in your reply to Ripshy, I saw differences in your story and what I saw those nights. Shall we pull in another half dozen who saw bits and peices? Not hard to do.

However, what made you stand out was not what you are, or what you do, thats pretty normal. It was the constant changing of your stories and you spoke to each group of people who in turn spoke to other groups you spoke too..it got kinda weird. Stalker wierd.

So come back next year, have fun, hang out. Just dont try all the Drama out. And be somewhat truthful. I mean basic questions about how you got here, where you were staying changed from moment to moment.

If you were here for business, I think you failed.
If you are here for fun, there are better ways to do it.

I wasnt here for business. the only reason you even knew what industry Im in was because I engineered "grace" right in front of you. If I was about work, then you wouldnt have seen me the entire con. I would have been answering my phone instead of ignoring it and I wouldnt have been hitting people up in person. I dont see how you feel I wavered in how I got there and where I was staying because it never changed. My dumbass took a bus from houston to vegas and I was at the little motel behind the fence adjacent to the Riv. Pixel and his friend can confirm. And I'll even be upfront, it was messy since I was only there to sleep and shower and I didnt let maid service in during my stay. Im way too truthful most of the time and I never said anything different. But if you want to get upset and feel I lied to you, then fine...feel hurt all you want. The only time I lied was when most people asked what I did. I tell people on the street that Im a software consultant. One nice person even gave me a new techy sounding title. Anyway, if you feel hurt that I told you I was a software consultant, then thats your problem. but you cant expect me to want to tell everyone what I do. I did come out at that one small party and once to ripshy, but thats because people kept calling me a fed...and somehow I thought that was worse than coming out. But really if I had wanted to work, there was a gaming competition down the street where the cash prizes were obscene, so not offense, but I wouldnt have been at DC if that was really my intention.

It just sucks that I wanted to go to something I really thought was interesting only to have something like this held over my head. Again, Im sorry for invading your space, it wont happen again.

Like the "Asshole Thread" from 2 or 3 years ago, this one needs to exist for people to comment to conclusion. Failure to permit this to run to its end permits it to persist, and denies people opportunity to vent their frustration.

It is best to let the conversation go where it goes, and then after a while, when people are no longer interested in it, we close it.

This is the destruction of drama; the exposure of testimony, claims, opinions, and emotion, until a trial of community peers make decisions for themselves about this, and then use this new knowledge wisely in the years to come, choosing who they will associate with while at con.

Those at the center of this will learn or they will not. The observers will understand or they won't. The audience will be entertained or they won't.

Just like the, "Asshole Incident," and many others in the history of con, these issues often have the heart of security when they appear on our stage; who do you trust, and how much do you trust them?

[We left the "Asshole Thread" open after it happened, and within 2 or 3 days, everyone said what they wanted, and a week later, we closed it; it was resolved, and is ancient history.]

And even though our own members we part of that discussion, we also let it reach conclusion, and now, it only comes up when we want to reference a problem from the past as something to avoid.

There is value in a cautionary tale -- especially when it is based on a true story.
