Just came to mind while I was watching ASTcell's pictures come up on 23b.org.

My 5 favorite things in the year...

1. The Saturday night of Defcon
2. Watching ASTcell's picts go up to see what everyone did when we all thought no one was watching
3. Talk like a pirate day
4. Halloween
5. My birthday

Should we start inventing national holidays or something now? I have no idea. Just thought I'd throw these out for fun.

i personally have always enjoyed setting my office voicemail greeting to something like "In observance of the Saint Patrick's Day holiday, the IT department will be closed today" etc etc. Usually i do my best to make this adjustment from the bar where i go around 9 AM, so that there are loud people and pipes playing audibly in the background.

oh, man... some of my absolute best memories from the most recent Norway trip were of sitting around with Zac and render and major, trying to get Andrea and Daniello, two Italians, to understand and learn Mao. that game rules.

Next year Defcon should be at burning man. I vote to combine the 2 events in the desert. Man that would be soooo cool. I know people will poo poo the idea. But if not over coming challenge, then what are we really about.

Guns, explosives, pyrotechnics, substance abuse/use, technology, art, computers, hedonism, music, no rules, no law enforcement; man that's what I call a win win. Plus it will get the FED's out of their comfort zone.

It's nice to dream; however it's back to the reality channel (sigh).
