Who uses "hoodlums" or "scoundrels" for non-comedic name-calling anymore?!? What about dastards, miscreants, and Jezebels? Were we causing a ruckus in the rumpus room? Gee, it was a real hullabaloo. Now, where did I put my skate key and Butch Wax?

Since we are all hoodlums. We already have aliases so we are all well on our way.

Do we need to kick the shit out of each other for an initiation too?

Seriously though, the graph on the page makes no sense. What constitutes Medium vs High? it would be like if I were to write an article about how skateboarders are delinquents and then make a graph comparing skateboard sales in Southern California to crime rates in Detroit and then filled the entire article with my opinions. But then again, everyone here already knows this and I'm really just beating a dead horse.

Indeed, not a fan. A troll perhaps, but not a fan.

I note this on the bottom of a different page:
Has your website, email, software or systems been accessed by a third party without authorization? Have you, or your business, been accussed of doing so? Go to our contact page, follow the direction, and call us for a free consultation with Mr. Dozier.
It'd be semi-amusing to call for a free consultation as a result of the fact that I was at DefCon and am not only being accused of attempting SQL Injection, Mambo exploits, etc. against a web site, but am further being called a "hoodlum, thief, scoundrel, and likely a convicted felon" just to see the reaction ... but I learned long ago not to feed the trolls, no matter how fun it may be at the time. In the end it never pays off really.

As much fun as that mite be thankfully no, though getting beat up by Banasidhe would be ok. But between just a few select nameless Defcon members they probably have more guns than most gangs and the mob put together. :-)

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. Actually, thanks for pointing that out. Yes, I'm a tool. I was farting around with the font and forgot to switch it back. I agree Comic Sans is hard on the eyes. I've changed my original post to the original font.

While I cannot prove this is a fact it certainly applies to doctors as well as lawyers.. Quoted by the late George Carlin... "Somewhere in the world is the worst Doctor." "Has to be!" "It's just the odds." "And the scary thing is that someone has an appointment with him/her tomorrow!"

I do not see the proof behind the Dozier firm claims that Defcon members are this unscrupulous, partially unscrupulous, or unscrupulous at all. The Dozier firm claims seem to be missing specific facts about specific individuals attached to specific IP #'s attached to specific organizations intent on the commission of specific acts/crimes. I think if I were associated with any part of the Dozier firm I'd watch my liabilous backside. While some rumors may flatter, other rumors may deface or discredit.

Proof? He's lawyer. What does proof have to do with wild accusations?

Good point. Let's file a class action suit for defamation of character and libel. We'll be rich!

The only "security researchers" in attendance, I suspect, are the good guys. But then again, they don't need legal advice from EFF, do they?
If I recall correctly, there were at least a few talks aimed straight at 'good guy' security researchers. Specifically, wasn't there a presentation about the implications of Texas law on computer forensics? eh whatever.
                        It's not stupid, it's advanced.

That was Scott Moulton, DC404's resident hard drive recovery expert.

Trivia: Scott was the first person arrested in Georgia for port scanning. Total BS charge, but it cost him.

In one of his older posts he boasts on how his "firm" (whatever) took down a blog site that was saying bad bad things about one of his clients. Hmm...doesn't the law protect the right to freedom of speech even if it pisses "your client" off? The irony of it. A lawyer attacking the laws he is supposed to uphold.

Something tells me this guy loves to cuff one off while pouring hot lava on his nipples in secret. Not that there is anything wrong with that mind you!
