  • propaganda for college students

Was reading this story on wire.com and was wondering the following:
If handing out 50,000 24 page leaflet would even phase most people in this day and age with downloading music, let along us "we know everything" college students.

I mean, any one I have ever talked to that down loads always says "they will never ketch me" and sometimes adds "and if they do I will point out everyone else". I have yet to come across any one who hasn't download a song or two at least once. So is something like what they are talking about in the above story even worth doing, or is it just a way to make some people feel good and pat themselves on the back? I wouldn't take any message seriously if it was like that propaganda.

    But thats just me

I'm not sure which is worse: That the ethical level has sunk so low that the average citizen has to be informed of larceny and intellectual property laws in this manner, or that the means to inform people is via a comic book.

Of course a comic book makes perfect sense if you're handing it out to college students. Since that seems to be the reading level that most of them understand.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

Wow. That is some heavy stuff there. I suddenly regret all of the music I have downloaded. I must now turn over a new leaf and become a gregorian monk.

            That is some crazy shit.

Just be careful. Those Gregors do many other funky things other than chant. You might just become the ebayfunkymonker!
