Forum image weirdness on "newthread" page

    Forum image weirdness on "newthread" page

    I thought there used to be a discussion area for web site or forum issues. Hmm... maybe i'm just thinking of the "PUBLIC NOTICES" thread in the general area.

    in any event... has anyone else been seeing some odd page renderings when they go to make a post nowadays on the forums? It started about a week or so ago for me and happened simultaneously on all my machines and laptop at the same time.

    Currently, when i go to post a new thread, the page displays the customary window and fields but the control buttons all have black pixels where there is usually gray. If you hover over them with the mouse they will highlight, then restore to "proper" colors once you move.

    Here's what a "new thread" page looks like for me now...




    But as you can see... as i move the mouse across the control buttons in the top row, they start to change to the right colors...




    anyone else experience this? (please move this to any other area if i'm just a doofus and can't find the forum issues" thread zone nowadays)

      Mine works fine, but I'm using the 'Defcon Legacy' style.

        I use legacy also and have no problems.

          It might be something with the new theme we are using. I'll check it out when I get home.

          Legacy doesn't exhibit this, but with Firefox 3 using the new theme, I see it too.

          It is probably an, "on mouse over," event in css. If so, maybe Neil can see if the on-over color can be changed in the test forum space, and then I can load the changed version on the production forums.

          Same results are provided on the test forum site.

          This is where I get to pass the buck. :-)

            I'm running DC Main (er, what's it called?) and Firefox 3.0.1. I get the awesome you need to mouse-over-it-blocks, too.
