    I just called the Riviera and talked to a casino host. She said that something would be replacing the Splash Bar soon. How soon, she didn't know. I asked if by July, she couldn't say.

    If anyone else is interested, the casino host line is 1-800-637-5687.

        That is a bit reassuring, however non-committal the answer they gave you is. That place was perfect for meet-ups...had a blast there. I can only imagine how much ciz-ash they made from us.

            Yeah, but I'm not terribly optimistic. Agreed. That bar--and the hackers it attracted, was one of the highlights of DEFCON. You could always find someone to talk to and hang out with, at any hour of the day or night.

                Nah, let's just bring some 200 or so fed-ex boxes and 10 rolls of duct tape, and make our own bar...

                        YES, we should all show up at the same timeshare presentation--even if we weren't invited. We need 100 people at one of those things and just take it over.
