Everyone I got around to meeting or re-meeting... it was fun. Thanks to anyone who watched my talk, gave input on my picks, or otherwise contributed to a very fun and inspiring event.

          absolutely great fucking talk, man.

and it provided what may have been, for me, the best moment of the con coming from a person on stage. [1.5 MB XviD]

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

Once again Shmoo was a great success. I can see they are clearly torn between wanting to continue growing but avoiding getting too big.

As usualy, it was a good con, and I didn't get to do even close to everything I was looking forward to, or hang out with everyone as much as I wanted to.

First Shmoocon for me and man was it a blast! I can't wait to do it again next year either! I was glad to meet those I did and look forward to meeting more in the future.

Oh yeah, and HoH was awesome! Those guys put on a great show and it was a ton of fun. The Hack challenges were complex yet not ridiculously complicated and that last round of Halo was fun to watch and cheer for!

This was the first con where I had a room mate I never actually met. :)

It was a great con. Its nice to have such a laid back environment to meet people in. The thing I was most impressed by was the staff of the Marriott. They were really helpful in splitting the bill to rooms and helping me find good middle eastern food in the area.

It was great to see everyone again. Once again, way too much going on and did'nt get to see or do half of what I wanted.

It was painful to goto a con, then hop on a plane 4 days later to head to Norway for another con, but totally worth it for seeing everyone.

                        See you at DC

You forgot to mention the meeting you missed. We were terribly disappointed that you weren't there.
A third party security audit is the IT equivalent of a colonoscopy. It's long, intrusive, very uncomfortable, and when it's done, you'll have seen things you really didn't want to see, and you'll never forget that you've had one.

Yea, but Xodia got to hangout and drink with me, GM1 and Roamer, so I'm sure that made up for it.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, And I looked and behold: a pale horse. And his name, that sat on him, was Death. And Hell followed with him.

Shame on you for taking advantage of a drunk! I expected more from the Amish. Though, I will be at the meeting at Defcon...I swear.

Good times, Highwiz. I'm shocked how well we all did at charades. "Jesus Christ Superstar" isn't exactly the easiest thing to act out when massive amounts of alcohol are involved.
