Good Deals at Stratosphere.

    Good Deals at Stratosphere.

    For those interested..... in saving a few bucks over the Riviera, and if you dont mind driving down the strip a little ways, Rooms July 31 to August 2 at Stratosphere are $61.94/night as of todays post, and if wanted to stay until Monday its only an additonal $27.00 more...

    I am thinking about staying there instead of the Riv, as I will have my own transportation.

    Unless you have wandered around that part of the Strip in the past at night (or daylight), and are comfortable with how dicey that neighborhood is, I'd feel safer in paying the extra $10 and staying at Circus Circus.

    That being said, Imperial Palace is about 1.5 miles south of the Riviera on the Strip, cheaper than the Stratophere, and is holding a roller derby convention at the same time as Defcon.

      I'd go along with the diceyness of that neighboorhood. With the whole economy downturn, there are lots of good deals to be had just about anywhere on the strip.

      I stayed 2 nights at The Venetian 1 weekend ago, for $159/night with $25/slot credits, in a high floor, and luxury strip view suite.

      I personally will probably staying at Circus Circus, or further south on the strip... I dont mind driving to DC.
